AI-Generated Content in Health & Wellness
In an article released on February 8, 2023, Google produced a guide on how to use AI-generated content.
Google emphasizes that high-quality content will be rewarded, regardless of the production method. This means content creators can use Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools like ChatGPT to generate high-quality content.
Additionally, Google discusses its approach to “content that potentially propagates misinformation or contradicts consensus on important topics”.
“On topics where information quality is critically important—like health, civic, or financial information—our systems place an even greater emphasis on signals of reliability.”
The number one issue with content produced by AI tools is reliability, as AI tends to make up all sorts of facts. Nonetheless, AI content tools can still be utilized effectively in healthcare marketing by employing the appropriate tools.
Writing Comprehensive Articles
In addition to the data collected by conducting our research, we use AI writing assistant tools to explore sub-topics to explore in our content or ensure that we address all questions related to our core topic in our content.
In the screenshot below, I asked SurferSEO to generate an outline for the keywords “Treatment of ear infection in dogs”. This is what the tool came up with within a few seconds only:
The outcome is a list of headings a veterinary writer can explore and edit.
For content to rank as quickly as possible on Google, it is becoming almost mandatory to at least partially rely on tools like SurferSEO to ensure our post topics are fully covered.
Creating unique illustrations
In addition to ChatGPT, Open AI has developed an AI system to create images and illustrations based on text descriptions called Dall-E. This technology is available on many different websites, including Canva.com.
Here, I asked Canva to generate an image showing a dog at the vet:
This feature can provide a cost-effective means of supplementing text content with illustrations, free from concerns about potential copyright infringement.
At the moment, the capabilities of these tools are limited. However, the images generated could be weird sometimes. In the below example, the AI had trouble rendering the vet’s hand correctly:

Some AI Content tools specialize in offering features to the academic sector. Content creators in the healthcare industry can benefit from utilizing all of these tools.

Google and other search engines won’t allow any anonymous content creator who generated thousands of articles using AI to rank high on the search engine result pages for sensitive health-related queries.
Well-known and trusted brands that will embrace AI content tools to publish more and better content could outrank the websites currently dominating the SERPs, such as Healthline, WebMD, and Medical News Today.
